Please describe your problem/bug/idea below:

sub-categories for "Model trains" ?

There is a huge choice of "train" models, while that's great, this can lead the casual model railroad buyer to have a frustrating user experience. This category is now a mixed-bag of everything scale railway related in a lot of different scales.

I'm wondering if adding some sub-categories, for instance scales, could be an option (1:45,1:76, 1:87,1:160,1:220, other scales) ? This would be the most logical step.

Or maybe just add three subcats ("rolling stock","accessories","vehicles") in the "Train" category ?

Hi! This is a good suggestion, but recently we moved to having less categories in favor of more tags.

So the best way to sub-categorize scale models (whether they be trains, or other models) is to use the tags.
ie/ you would put your model in the "Trains" category, then use the tags to identify the scale, and other characteristics of the item as well.
