Add 3D paper-based printer
Mcor Technologies has a 3d printer which ises standard copy paper as the medium, with great results, and a vastly lower materials cost. consider adding one to shapeways?

Consider the vastly increased labor cost. The entire print needs to be weeded. If you've ever done this on a complex 2D vinyl cut you'd know this would be a nightmare when adding thousands of layers.
